A new axe throwing center opened in Määta. The first competition there was five and a half years ago. At first, the center had eight lanes. Now it has 12 lanes inside and 10 more outside.
Mark Peet is the leader of the center. He says it is the biggest axe throwing center in the world. Estonians are some of the best axe throwers in the world.
The center helps athletes train better. Maarika Lepik is the Estonian champion. She says better training helps improve results. She wants to bring the world championship to Estonia.
The center was rebuilt for 76,000 euros. Most of the money came from the Just Transition Fund. Mark Peet invites people to visit. He wants them to see what they do.
