Metropolitan Stefanus Suggests Two Ideas for the Estonian Orthodox Church

Metropolitan Stefanus said the law about churches is important. He gave two ideas to the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church, but the church hasn't agreed yet. He thinks the law is needed because there are many dangers in Europe. Estonia has a neighbor that causes problems. The government must be careful to protect the country. He supports the law because it helps keep the nation safe.
The law affects the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church, which is connected to the Moscow Patriarchate. The government cannot let this church harm national security. Stefanus says religion should not be used to cause harm. He suggested two plans. The first plan is a vicariate, which would help the church keep its religious rules. The second plan is about working together with other churches in society. He hopes love will help solve problems instead of hate.
If the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church stops being connected to Moscow, the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church can give them religious approval. Stefanus says the problem isn't impossible, but the church isn't willing to change now. He also wants all Christians to celebrate Easter together. He hopes a solution will be found soon.
